Found this on facebook. Absolutely disgusted someone could do something so terrible.

The mother cat kept licking the kittens, hoping it would revive them. According to the family that adopted the stray cat, on the morning of the 11th when they heard the cat’s tragic cries, they rushed downstairs to discover this stray cat’s four kittens abused to death, and even placed in front of the mother cat. The kittens’ bodies were covered with bullet holes, with blood all over. One of the kittens had its neck tied with a rope and elongated, its chest cut open, heart exposed, while the other three kittens’ heads were stepped on.

Eighty percent of the antibiotics used in this country are given to chicken, pigs, turkey and cattle, not because the animals are sick but to fatten them and prevent illness from sweeping through crowded pens. Evidence has been building for decades that the overuse of antibiotics in livestock has helped lead to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, which then present a threat to human health.

There are two different systems for raising cattle for the meat. The most common approach used is the calf is kept with the mother until weaned and then is grass fed until heavy enough to be killed, at roughly two years old.

The ones that factories use is a more intensive method. The calves are taken away from their mothers right after birth and are forced into pens and are on milk erplacer and fed pellets. During just the first week of their lives, they’re usually castrated and have their horn buds burnt out with the use of chemicals, and in the case of older cows, a hot iron will be used instead, and generally an anaesthetic.

The beef cattle are usually held into feedlots, and are crowded by the thousands in unsanitary conditions that involve dust and manure being all over the pens. The air is filled thick with bacteria and particulate matter, and every animal in the pen is at a constant risk to a form of respiratory disease. The cattle are routinely given growth hormones and are fed diets consisting of rich food to fatten them extremely quickly and productively. Because the cattle are biologically suited to eat high fiber diets, including grass, the concentracted rations in feed lots contribute to metabolic disorders.

A standard slaughterhouse is capable of killing 250 cattle an hour. When the assembly line speeds up, workers are rushed and it because difficult to treat the animals with any humane nature. A Meat & Poultry article states,

Good handling is extremely difficult if equipment is ‘maxed out’ all the time. It is impossible to have a good attitude toward cattle if employees have to constantly overexert themselves, and thus transfer all that stress right down to the animals, just to keep up with the line.”

The way the cattle are killed is via being rendered unconscious via a blow to the head called stunning. At that point the cattle are then hung upside down and are bled to death. However, the procedure of stunning is extremely unreliable due to a poor stunning will leave the cattle conscious as it hangs upside down, bleeding and kicknig and struggling while a worker tries to knock them out. Eventually, the animals will be slashed in the throat with a knife, and the blood will gush from their bodies whether the cattle is concious or not.
